Veuve Clicquot Champagne has a distinctive yellow label – one of the most easily and widely recognisable Champagne brands and famous for their innovative gift sets. In 1772 Philppe Clicquot established himself as a wine merchant under the name Clicquot and was the first Champagne House to ship rosé champagne. In 1810 the House took on the name, Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin and produced its very first Vintage Champagne. Nicole-Barbe Ponsardin widow of Philppe Clicquot’s son Francois developed the business both technically and commercially. In order to protect the house from imitations she introduced the distinctive and famous yellow label now recognised at sporting events and parties around the world. Veuve Clicquot produce an excellent range of Rosé, Brut and Demi-Sec Champagnes and of course luxury vintages such as La Grande Dame.
